A couple things to address here, and I would like your input.
I would imagine that most of you will be writing some kind of wrap-up for your character. I am finished writing for Sondo, but I will write some general wrap-up/conclusion as needed. There are a couple ways that this could go; originally I had thought that there might be some reunion scene at the end with relatives, etc., but this may be unneccessary, even chunky. With the crossing of the Withywindle, the adventure really is over. Not the journey, but the adventure. So, in this sense, I would almost prefer to leave reunions alone, and just take it right up to this point instead, unless you all feel different? Opinions, anyone? |

Either way is fine for me. I do like your idea, though, Firefoot.

Firefoot -
I think your idea is a good one. With Sassy's death, it would be very hard to do reunion scenes. We'd inevitably have to get into explanations to the people at Brandy Hall: what happened and why. Then they'd have to respond in some way. That's too much to take on at the end of a game. I guess I see it this way. The game should come to an end on the banks of the river. The essential thing that happens is the resolution of the hobbits to go on home despite the bad things that have occurred: the whole idea of hobbits pushing on with living even when things get tough. It's possible that some posters would want to briefly summarize what their character has learned and/or how they feel as they stand on the bank and make their personal decision to go home. You could leave the game up a day or two to see if anyone wants to do that. Then, later in the week, whatever happens in terms of posting, you could come in with your own "wrap up/conclusion" to end the game as we trudge off into the sunrise. BTW, I also feel that Bingo has basically said what he wanted to say so, if we handle it this way, I am done posting. The exchange between our two characters resolved things for me...kind of bittersweet. Firefoot - I really liked your response. Thanks. Child

All righty, then. I'll wait until Friday afternoon to write up a conclusion so any of you as wants to can write up a wrap-up for your character. The end of the game will occur here, on the banks of the Withywindle and Brandywine.
Also, Boromir, you still have an unfilled save which needs to either be filled or deleted before the game ends. ![]() Quote:

It is sad to see this end, but it was an honor to be apart of this game with you all. Thank you for your patience with me.
I hope that I will be able to RPG with all of you once again! -Crystal Heart

Firefoot, I don't think I'll do anything more with Falco... I think where we left off, with his reconiliation with Sondo, is a fine place to leave him off for good.
It's been lovely playing with you all! 'Twas a splendid game, and I enjoyed it very much. Sincerely, ---Nuru
