Is it someone who vanished with a bang and a flash? Not Mad Baggins Is it the Tall? Not Maedhros Is it a useless thing? Not a Mathom Is it one whose real name was forgotten (and not mentioned in the legendarium) and replaced by an epessë? I guess that means it's from HoME somewhere... I give up (I never liked this question anyway - it makes my brain hurt.)
