Welcome to the 'Downs, lotrknight! As for "doing it right", to what do you refer?
On topic (or at least slightly), I like the Council of Elrond's Elvish tutorial whatcha-ma-call-it. Thing. Very Pippinesque. Yes yes. Blasted alter-ego.....

That Council of Elrond thing was LOVELY!
 And I can really recommend The Quenya Course of Ardalambion - it's great and you learn very much. It's also very easy to understand - even for me nad I'm not a native english-speaker! btw - it's so funny how difficult it is for you english-speakers to pronounce elvish - it's usually so easy for me as a finnish-speaker. Hail Tolkien!

Hi i am new around these parts... well i have kinda been lurking around i have tried to learn elvish but it is a mighty hard task... it is easier when you use elvish to write English... but to learn elvish words for things (i.e trees... orange...ect) is *very* Hard!! Help!!
