Why didn't they use the same pass? - The Barrow-Downs Discussion Forum

well the only reason the fellowship escaped from moria was because the orcs got scared away by the balrog (and im hoping there isn't a balrog in the other pass also the orcs would be on their guard because thorin & co ngot away right under their noses so it would have been a lot harder for the fellowship to get away.
p.s. did anyone note thet in the hobbit when bilbo meets up with thorin & co after escaping gandalf says: they will double their guard after that!!
so with all this added up maybe moria was safer after all.
