Eomer is as close as Faramir and Imrahil (literally!).... Oh everyone here seemed to know the books so well - maybe I tried too hard not to be obvious........

Yes to parting with Aragorn (and Eomer, Faramir and Imrahil were left at Edoras!!!!!) ..but not quite the Gap but i am not going to be that picky after so long- the event was Pippin looking in the palantir........ over to you Redjewelled one!
