The Central Asian compound bow, or Hungarian/Mongol bow, is superior to the longbow in both distance, force and maneuverability. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img].
I love the Mongol culture and history, but I understand that those bows take two people to string because the arms are bent backwards to shoot, which is why it wouldn't be my weapon of choice. [ June 27, 2002: Message edited by: The Silver-shod Muse ]
