Elves in general would be proficient with a bow and arrow - I doubt that the Fellowship would've faired worse with Glorfindel or another elf of Elrond's house.
Even if he was irreplaceable, other elves accomplished more. TarElendil - I made that point. [img]smilies/redface.gif[/img]
