And
did it say "wasters below the priest" before, or am I losing my mind (more)?

Arithmetic question:
Does
1/(Name for two old elves, and new Wild Men) mean
(1/Name for two old elves) + (1/New Wild Men), (1/[Name for two old elves + new Wild Men]), are the elves and the Wild Men the same answer, or am I totally missing the point?

There are two "old" - note the quotation marks; they're not old due to age - Elves, and "new" Wild Men, that share a single name.
