Of course it'd be hard to keep the word from getting out as I'm sure tolkien readers would tell some of their friends, etc. But I wasn't thrilled that PJ greatly helped it along. Seriously it would've been cool for at least some people to be caught of balance (although I did like the way that they kept changing from Gandalf's voice to Saruman's in Fangorn, that was cool ).
