I certainly don't agree with that.<P>Although the elves at Helm's Deep threw me the first time I saw it, I believed it was necessary. Talking about the battles works fine in the book, in a movie you have to show them fighting and dieing. I think it's unavoidable. One line from Gimli would not have been remembered by the average movie goer at the end of RoTK. In my opinion, the point had to be made more forcefully. Most people won't forget Haldir's death.<P>H.C.
