Andy Serkis did a fabulous job. <P>I enjoyed the humor. Gollum is pathetic. If we cannot laugh at pathos we would become bitter or weep constantly.<P>I think there was a bit more Gollum than necessary considering how long the movie was and how hasty the ent scenes were. And I would have sacrificed some Gollum for a little more character development for Faramir who came off as Boromir with no valor. Hardly worthy of an action figure.<P>Speaking of that, where's the Gollum action figure?
