Re: Lurtz and other Changes I know how NOT to make it: by NOT following the story it is supposed to be based upon. I may still enjoy a fantasy film inspired by The Lord Of The Rings, but I'd rather see one that more closely followed the story rather than adding characters and scenes which Tolkien never wrote, nor even hinted at. You (and PJ) may think that it is neccesary to have a scarred warrior Arwen defending an unconcious Frodo at the Ford of Rivendell, but here I must disagree. I also feel that the Japanese stylings of the Elves are out of place in Middle Earth, which Tolkien describes as NW Europe.
