| The House of Finarfin, but not Fingolfin

Why did Thingol only meet with the House of Finarfin in Doriath? He gives the reason that he is only doing this because they are kin, but so surely is the House of Fingolfin. I'm not sure this is a printing error or editing error because he does repeat this again. Am I missing something really obvious?

Finarfin was married to Eärwen, Thingol's niece. Her father was Thingol's brother Olwë. That's why the House of Finarfin were considered his kin and Fingolfin not. [ November 26, 2002: Message edited by: Maikadilwen ]

Fingolfin wed Anaire, who we presume to be of Noldorin blood, meaning Fingolfin's line was of Vanyarin(Indis)/Noldorin blood. No Telerin ancestry is given.

Yeah, I totally made a big mistake there. Plus, of course, kin means by blood. Nevermind.

And the host of Fingolfin partipated in the Kinslaying of Alqualonde. Nothing is said there about Finarfin and his people.
