Nahai was genuinely surprised. How had the lady Aman known that she was of the Beornings? Aman had said that she had never met Beorn, and there certainly wasn't a great number of Nahai's kind running around. Nahai herself had only met three other Beornings; her mother, father, and uncle. Did this mean that she was not as alone as she thought?

She looked at Morwyn. She and the new inkeep had a common homeland, Rohan. Nahai wasn't sure if Morwyn looked glad to see someone from her old home, or if it made her sad. Perhaps both. Finally she turned to Annalalaith. The elf's flute sang gleefully, showering the air with it's silvery rain of music. Annalalaith... Nahai struggled to recall the elvish lessons Celecu had tried to give her. Anna..Lalaith.. 'Gift of Laughter'? That sounded about right. It was a good name, and it suited her well. The elf's song ended, and she laughed as she put down the instrument. The name suited her very well.
