Nuru found herself looking with gentle pity at the man. He wasn't at all like she thought he was. When she had first seen him, he appeared to her a man wanting nothing but to take his sister and drag her back home, just out of spite. A man who didn't care that she had her own path in life. A selfish, greedy, unfeeling man. But he wasn't that way at all. He was a man who missed his twin sister and just wanted to see her again. He didn't want to hurt her in any way, though, if he took her back home, he might do so without intending to. Nuru wouldn't betray Rie, of course, but she'd never look at this man the same way. She became serious as she looked at him. She wasn't playing with him anymore to give Rie more time. Every question she asked she would ask because she did want to know, not because it was the first thing that came to her mind.

"Tell me, sir," she said, hesitating a moment. She wouldn't betray Rie, but she had to know the answer to this question before she went to Don's room to talk to her friend. "If you found Rie, what exactly would you do with her?" An odd question, but, yes, she had to know the answer. Maybe Rie could stop hiding from her brother but stay where she was... maybe everyone could be made happy. All that depended on what her brother's answer would be.
