Gilthalion has just left Hobbiton.
Sting

Thranduil and Legolas had been discussing the man in the prison. Clearly, times were changing for the worse. The news from the south of Mirkwood could not be worse.

Father and son looked up as the elven prisoners were brought into the chamber. They were all surprised at the vicious outburst from the wild elven girl. Thranduil rose to speak.

"If your parents came to harm through my command, then you must refresh my memory, for I know not who they were. If they were wrongfully harmed by commission or ommission of my rule, and you have a rightful claim against me, fear not, I will hear it and make good as well as I may.

"You are brought here to hear my judgment, caught as you were trespassing and poaching on my preserve, a sanctuary for the wildlife of Greenwood for an age and more, set aside by my rightful order. But I would hear first of your complaint, lest I rule unwisely on your offense against my realm.

"So speak, Sauche, wild elf of the woods! Tell me what evil you think I have done you."
