I've been meditating an appearance on this thread ever since its inception, but only now have I gotten down to it.

Name (that you go by): Hmm…sometimes my dad calls me Sam, and sometimes my mom calls me James… (to reassure you: I am a girl )
Age: 20
Occupation: Proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2005! A-A-A-A-A-WHOOP! (that's "college student" for those of you who aren't Texans)
Future Aspirations: Something involving reading, writing, probably computers
Goal in life: To glorify my savior Christ Jesus in everything
Short term goals: To get an A in computer science and a B in Calculus II
Passion: Books, music (singing and playing)
Hobbies: American Civil War reenacting, sewing, dancing (tap, ballet, lyrical, and Civil War ballroom), and Tolkien (a large range of activities under this heading, including carving wooden swords out of yard sign stakes)
Famous for (okay this is where you get to brag about yourself): I made a 1600 on my SAT in the spring of my junior year in high school – that’s probably what wows most people about me. I wish I could come up with something more individual!

Fave book/authors: Agatha Christie, Jane Austen, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Louis L’Amour, Alistair MacLean; The Killer Angels, Jane Eyre, Ben-Hur, Gone with the Wind, The Hunt for Red October
Fave movie: “Gettysburg,” “The Great Race,” “Rear Window,” “Twelve O’Clock High,” Indiana Jones, “Singin’ in the Rain,” “The Court Jester,” FOTR, TTT, “Where Eagles Dare”
Fave sport: Baseball (NOT softball)
Fave store: Either Half-Price Books or a reenacting sutler
Fave music: Movie soundtracks (almost exclusively orchestral), old popular music (‘40s,‘50s, and Civil War-era), musicals, classical (particularly Tchaikovsky), VeggieTales

What you can't stand: Not having sunlight or windows that open
What you plain dislike: Spiders
Who you admire: Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain (read The Killer Angels or see “Gettysburg&#8221
What you most love to do: Read outdoors in the sun and wind
Your self-confessed flaws: Pride; also people tick me off more than circumstances do
What intrigues/fascinates you: How all the threads of history are woven together, constantly intersecting and having results down to the present day
What scares you: The future (when I’m down and/or tired), but I cling to my…
Quotation to live by: “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.” ~Isaiah 26:3-4

Additional comments: Feedback invited!
