ok, hint:
Look at a map of ME... the places should make a recognizable path. The reaching arm is figurative, the map should help. In one place there's a slight backtrack, due to rhyme... (somewhere around the watertown). The Mountain Grim is the head atop the spine, the place you're led is a specific feature, not a wide area (eg, a named mountain or valley).
