Now that Rita is past, more or less, with less damage than was feared, maybe we can make light of the stormy dangers this summer has brought by thinking up Middle-Earth names for hurricanes. No lists - please explain your reasons for the names you choose!
Fëanor - The Elf with the stormiest temper is a good choice, isn't he? Although, on second thought, his element is fire, not wind and water; still... Manwë - The Lord of the Winds. Need I say more? Mighty enough to cause such a storm too. Ossë - My favorite choice. The evidence against him is overwhelming: Quote:
