*sigh* Anyway, that same day the weird stuff started happening. We found two creatures hiding near the site of our ambush. Anborn thought they were squirrels, but when we dragged them out and shook 'em off a little they turned out to be halflings.

Halflings? Are you sure?

Yes, we used our Field Guide to Fanciful Creatures... and they met 8 out of the 10 criteria. Apparently they don't give you a pot of gold if you catch them. But I always thought that sounded fake anyway.
