Considering that it was so obvious, I will go sit with Aylwen and feel stupid, until Helen forcibily drags us from our miserable thoughts.

I'm glad she's got one ear left. Would it not be a pity if she could never hear a song or the strains of a fiddle again?

I had no idea how to write an injured arm; I've never had one and neither have any family members. But I happen to know a little hobbit-boy who can't hear with his left ear, so I have at least a little experience in the matter.
