Okay, I've been watching some parts of the movie X-Men and I just want to ask something...Okay A LOT of fans seem to have problems with Hugo Weaving as Lord Elrond in LOTR because he played Agent Smith, the main villain of The Matrix...Now you talk to the same fans and they loved Ian McKellen's portrayal of Gandalf in LOTR -and rightfully so - and yet from what I have watched of X-Men he played a really bad villain in Magneto...Now my question is: Why do fans want to forgive Ian McKellen for playing Magneto in X-Men but they seem very unwilling to forgive Hugo Weaving for playing Agent Smith?What gives?
