lindil has just left Hobbiton.
Sting King Bladorthin of Dorwinion ?

As an outgrowth of the what happened to the Avari thread, we have come to a discussion of Dorwinion and lailath's interesting hypothesis of Bladorthin being the King of Dorwinion.

A link was given to a comprehensive history of the non-Dunedain of M-E, but I surfed around the page and found this excellent article on the mysterious King Bladorthin to be of great interest to the Rhovanion/Mirkwood peoples discussion and fascinating on it's own merits.

Thus this thread to discuss thoughts and debates on the essay, and to continue the off-topic aspects of the Avari thread.

I hope to post more tomorrow, as I have a few points of possible contention on the extremely well researched and thought out essay.

By the way, I hope lailath can be prevailed upon to offer his essay to the Downs as worthy addition the Articles section.

How often do we get to see one line in the Hobbit turned into a small Book?
