I have been thinking about that. Tolkien never had any black characters in his book. The only ones I know about are at the battle of Minas Tirith and they are evil barbarians. In this time, that would have been seen an insult by the black culture.(Black culture, is that the correct word without insulting? I never quite understand what is an insult and what not.
