What's On The Cover Of Your Book?

My new paperback set (Harper Collins 1999) are black, with very subtle JRRT designs all over in a glossier black. There are dwarf runes along the top and bottom, and pictures that are actually relevant to the stories. I really like this set.

Those are the same ones I have!

My best friend's mom has the first edition published in Canada; If I remember correctly, they each have the same picture with different coloured backgrounds. The picture is of the Fellowship standing in a semi-circle, facing away from us, and looking towards where the title is written. I don't really remember what they really look like, just that Legolas is wearing a long, white cape with the hood up. Oh! I just remembered, on the back it has a summary of the book, and printed on the bottom of the cover there's something like "I am pleased that my books are finally being published in Canada," only it sounded much better than that, because it was written J.R.R. Tolkien, accompanied with a copy of his signature! It's really cool!
