				  | A – Z of Middle-earth (#2)

For this trivia game, we start with 'A' and try and work through the alphabet as many times as possible using words from Middle-earth and then describing them. __________________________________________________ ________________________________________ CATEGORY: Weapons Arwen Imladris’ last posted for "I": Isildur’s Bane, Betrayer of the second Ring-bearer: A name for the One Ring. After Sauron's defeat in the War of the Last Alliance, Isildur Elendil's son took the Ring, and later journeyed northward with it to his kingdom of Arnor. Ambushed by Orcs, Isildur's small force was cut down, and he fled the battle wearing the Ring. It slipped from his finger, though, and so both Isildur and the Ring were lost. My offering for "J": Jewels of Fëanor – The Silmarils; at whose heart the radiant light of the Two Trees of Valinor was captured; hallowed by Varda so that any iniquitous hand touching them would burn and wither. <font size=1 color=339966>[ 12:46 PM January 09, 2004: Message edited by: piosenniel ]

Khamûl: Called the Shadow of the East, Khamûl was the second of the nine Ringwraiths, second only to the Lord of the Nazgûl, and referred to as Sauron's lieutenant. He was Sauron's weapon.

Mathom-house: A place in Michel Delving where the Hobbits collected and displayed items they had no particular use for. It was known to contain a store of weapons, and for a time also held Bilbo's mithril coat.

Actually, this is just a continuation of the other longer thread. Let's do an A - Z of all things Hobbit oriented. The one who finishes this list can start another with a different category. ______________________________________________ Category: HOBBITS AND ALL THAT CONCERNS THEM A Adventures of Tom Bombadil - a Hobbit poem from Buckland. Published in the Shire in a collection with other poems as a supplement to The Red Book of Westmarch.
