I was on holiday and I JUST saw this. I have an alibi. The receptionist will vouch that I was in a hotel in a little town with no cybercafes. I plead 'not guily'.

I think I prefer this type of party; a lot less effort is needed.

May 2000 - Why do I remember EZ Board Downs then? I was all over EZ Board with my 'global' Snowdog EZ account along with being on most all the Tolkien sites of the day. I remember wandering back here in 2002 and the 'main page' and all. I still have the Barrow Downs t-shirt (fits a bit snug these days), had a couple coffee cups (one broke a week after receiving it, and the other was lost in the house clean-out after a divorce in 2007).

In May 2000, I was most active on The One Ring . com (TORc - now a 'pay-to-play' site at $4 a month) until I was banned in 2003 (marriage politics). I was also quite active on the seemingly competitive site 'Minas Tirith . com (Just checked that url and Go Daddy has it for sale for $5199 or 'lease to own' for $434 am month). Other places I remember from that time was 'The White Council' on EZ Board, 'The Tolkien Forum' (still going strong), and DarkStarr on EZ Board (they were a rebel mob from The One Ring . com, and begat Board77 which begat Hall of Fire which is still around.

Anyway, I digress. Just waxing nostalgic here. Three cheers for the Barrow Wight!
