Hey there I just had a post that I wanted to make real quick guys, if you do not mind too much my random rambling.

This is as far as I can figure to trace the ancestry of Legolas.... Oropher----->Thranduil---------->Legolas If anyone can confirm that, give me the correct ancestry if I am wrong, or tell me if they know of who else it goes back to (like who was Oropher's daddy?) I would appreciate it a lot. As far as his age goes I have no idea what his age is or when he was born. If someone could tell me anything about his age I would greatly appreciate that. Thanks. Yea, that's the correct ancestry, as far as I'm aware. And I believe that's as far as it goes. I don't think any ancestors of Legolas further back than Oropher were ever written down.

As for Legolas's age, I think there's a few threads about that topic floating around, so I'll direct you to look for them... I'm not too well-read in the lore of Legolas and I wouldn't want to give you incorrect information. All-in-all, I think he and his family are pretty mysterious Elves and info about them is hard to come by... |

I believe Legolas's age at the time of the War of the Ring was 2931 years.

We really don't know how old Legolas was, all we know is that he was one of the few elves born in the third age (like Arwen) so we don't really know if the number above is correct. Of course there is already many threads about his age already.

I've read some of the other threads, but never came across a definite argument for Legolas being born in the third age. Where did you find that?
