Ok I have just finshed ROTK but I still have some questions about that mysterious ship wright. First of all, why does he look so different from other elves? He has a beard and is said to have gray hair and look very old, but why? All other elves in Middle-Earth are youthful looking but he is not. Also, wasn't Cirdan the one that bore Narya in the first place? Maybe I am thinking of someone else but I could have swore I read about him bareing it. If he did have Narya, why did he give it to Gandalf? I was also under the immpression from others that have read the series that Gandalf gives Narya back in the end, or was my information false?

It helps but it is still confussing for me. The theories on the aging of elves give me head aches so I think I am going to stay away from that stuff. Man, when I thought I knew it all I find that there is always more to learn. Thanx Earwen. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]
