Your backwards chords idea was a lifesaver. I think I tried that a couple times before, back in Duel or something, but I wasn't impressed and gave up on the idea. I didn't think to try it again. This would have been infinitely longer and more difficult without the coded chords. I also found this
thing, which allows me to see the notes indicated by the numbers without me having to count manually for each string. That sped things up a bit too.
