He promised them food...lots of food. All the candy and cakes and cookies they wanted. Some valiantly withstood the temptation, saying, "Candy? Are you mad? We want mushrooms, tomatoes, and nice crispy bacon! And vegetables! Get with the program!"

But some of the other, younger, foolish little hobbitlings, fell under his sway.

Such a sad, sad story. But someday, my friends, someday....the descendants of Meriadoc the Magnificent, Thain Peregrin Took, and Master Samwise, will ride in and blow the Horn of Rohan, and the captives shall rise up and take arms against their cruel overlord. And that day the Hobbits shall be freed....

Because they cannot take away our FREEDOM!!!
