I've always been a fan of Alan Lee (I really should start saving up for a copy of the illustrated LotR, hey?), and (duh) Tolkien himself. Don't just look at the boring ol' line illustrations in your old copy of the Hobbit, go out and get a book of Tolkien artwork (eg: JRR Tolkien: Artist and Illustrator by Hammond and Scull). <img src=smile.gif ALT="
