Arwen was filmed at Helm's Deep but was cut out. I suspect that she was the one that led the elves there. After the reaction that Arwen got from FotR, perhaps they decided that people would have absolutely flipped if she was at Helm's Deep and so they put in Haldir instead, perhaps through some pick up shots.<P>Just me guessing here.
