i think any wepon is powerful i mean depending on how you use it.
for gimli legolas or agagorn gandalf sauron and so on all have diffeernt kind of wepons(ax,bow,sword,staff,rings of power).each of these wepons are very effective and are more effectife depending on whose using it. my fav though is a bow.
