Gah, my bad.
I haven't written the letter out anywhere, but the gist of it is Linduial's account of Scyld's role in her kidnapping and subsequent escape; I believe at some point Jenny wrote that Linduial credited Scyld with saving her life so that would probably be mentioned. Probably there would be some explanation of why she never mentioned Scyld when she was first rescued (respecting his wishes though she had been willing to defend him at thattime - he just didn't trust her or the government authorities). Scyld has read it and considered it kinder than he deserved, and believes it sufficiently exonerates him to be comfortable enough handing it over.
