I'm now stuck wondering how late the Second Prophecy actually persisted - and for that matter, how late the mention of Turin stayed in it.
I'm also wondering about the fate of Tuor; the tradition that he's counted among the Elves comes from the published Silm, right? Of course it could be
wrong, but it's still there.
For that matter, Ar-Pharazon 'sleeping' until the End is in there, too; does that just count as a deferment of the Gift, rather than a removal?
