The whole Frodo-and-Sam-yelling-at-each-other thing does happen in the books-- just later on, I think. In ROTK, when Sam offers to carry the Ring, Frodo says, "No, no! No you won't, you thief!" And then Sam starts to cry.<P>So I didn't think they were ruined at all. The only thing that really bothered me was the 30 minutes in TTT where Aragorn is dreaming about Arwen...
