Not mean.... assuming you mean what I think you mean by mean which isn't what I mean by mean... just practical ...and you admitted you spent a lot of time lying .... if you confuse people enough you will look guilty at some point - and so it will be easier to get you out of the way before perpetual confusion sets in..... and remember you haven't been killed by werewolves yet.
