While a true horoscope cannot be cast that far back in the past, as we would have to know the exact hour of his begetting or birth (the word horoscope is related to the word hour), it is still possible to divine a few things. But we must first determine when he was born.
The combined chronology above gives approximate dates (often rounded to the nearest ten) in Before Present (1950 AD), so 16,680 BP would be about 14,730 BC or earlier. This is because the Short Valian Year is assumed to be 1/15th of a Long Valian Year, or 9.6 years. This makes it difficult to assign an exact year to any event.
5 Short Valian Years are equal to 48 Mortal Years. 3 of those time periods make a Long Valian Year of 144 years. 3 of those constitute an Elvish Calendar Cycle of 432 years, which is taken to begun with the first Year of the Sun. 5 Cycles, or 15 Long Valian Years, is the traditional length of an Age of the Zodiac. For example, many suppose that the Age of Aries began around 2,160 BC, with the Age Pisces starting at about 1 AD. A New Ager back then might have used fish as a symbol. 🐟
Fëanor means Spirit of Fire, so if he were born near the beginning of spring he would be an Aries, a fire sign. But which year? Perhaps we can use astrology to predict it. On Friday, June 20, 14,742 BC, Jupiter and Saturn conjuncted. This pairing of the Father and Grandfather of the Gods occurs about once every 20 years. But this one was very special. These planets were almost touching; only one arc minute apart! This is incredibly rare. 🪐
Did Alcarinquë and Lumbar fortell the coming of a king?
