Sharkû is one of the original four administrators of the Barrow-Downs. He is responsible for many of the encyclopedia entries linked to our splash page (yes, we have a splash page). Thoughtful, insightful and a dedicated student of Tolkien, he, unfortunately, has not visited here for some time.

Withgisl's Tale is a clever story within a story. It tells of an ancient legend of the Rohirrim, set against a framing of an upcoming battle with Orcs.
