Ah! At the risk of being too literal, I took a look at the Other Man in the Moon poem, which I've never really learnt any of the words to. Sure enough:
#7: "He would dare any peril for
ruby and beryl"
#10: "For new diadems of
lustrous gems,
emerald and sapphire."
