I read Hobbit when I was 4, and LOTR when 6. Um...I first read them in english (which is not my mother tongue) when 13 (exactly the same thime when I first read Silm... No, they are not too complicated, but your impression really depends on your age. At first, I just followed the exciting story. Afterwards, I descovered that not all is in the plot [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] . Anyhow, they are much different for me now...much better,more complex and stuff... But, I really wouldn't say they're complicated...
