Welcome, Mithrandir! You can add what's called a "signature" to your posts by going to your EZBoard preferences, typing one in, and enabling the option. Go to the

Scroll down and you'll find a textbox under the section "Custom Signature". Type one in, then check the "Use Custom Signature" checkbox.
When you're composing a post, look to the left of the textbox and you'll see a link that says "Use Emoticons". Click that and it will give you the codes on how to make them in your posts.
