[img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] I agree with the basic point that Frodo's and Sam's friendship is described in much greater detail than Aragorn's and Arwen's romance, which is described only in stylized, "courtly" and ideal terms. I personally don't think this creates a gay subtext, but it's certainly a legitimate topic of discussion.
