Ah. In that case it's quite possible.
In reality, all that would have taken to make me suspicious was overacting the cobbler role, but if that is the case I would wonder why no one considered the connection I was trying to establish with
Legate. I was only intending to be cobblerish only when talking to him, not in regards to any other issues.
