The tale with Aragorn won't work because already in the first part, the Mirror, well, what does it have to do with the skies? Sure, skies reflect in it, but that's about it - they do not play any important part. It's the Mirror that shows, not the skies that reflect in it (in fact, only when the reflection disappears,
then the Mirror starts to show something).
The second part is better, it would almost fit if not for the last sentence, it isn't only a random statement, the importance of the trust is really something notable
And like you said yourself, the third part just crumbles apart.
