Do you mean companion as in, sailed with Earendil? perhaps not, but anyway, interestingly, in an entry for
The Tale of Years (War of the Jools) Tolkien jotted down 'and Voronwe?' as a possible ship companion for Tuor -- with Christopher Tolkien drawing a possible connection to a line from the updated Fall of Gondolin.
