I think this thread has popped up before. It is so hard to think of an absolute favorite character. So I will give a couple from each class of being, or what ever you call it.
Hobbits- Sam
Humans- Tuor, Turin, Aragorn, and Beorn
Dwarves- well, I don't really have a favorite dwarve, I like almost all of them
Elves- Finrod, Celebrimbor, Cirdan, and Eol
Maiar- Sauron and Gandalf
Valar- Orome, Aule, and Ulmo
Others- Gluarung, Gollum, Bombadil, and Carcharoth
I guess it is just a list of the people I think are the coolest or just have the neatest lives
