Actually to be honest I was
thinking of the Osgiliath stone, I frankly forgot about the Erresea stone (i.e. the eighth of seven) amongs other things, it's never been clear to me if the Eressea stone is actually functional for gazing, or if it's permanently "locked" into the one in the tower.
