It's usual to speculate a bit on why someone was killed, especially in a case where it's unexpected. Also,
Nogrod raised the point first. Also, it's an argument for my being a known innocent. So I still don't see what you're worrying about.
None of this, of course, means that
Zil couldn't be a wolf helpfully explaining the reasons for the kill. They do that sometimes.
